Snapshot overview
The whole snapshot at a glance. Every number here describes the frozen content of bitcoin.tsv, not today’s chain.
Which encoding the address uses says a lot about the wallet behind it. Native SegWit (P2WPKH) overtaking legacy P2PKH in count is the migration story of the last few years — but note the BTC totals: legacy still holds the older, larger hoards.

The synthetic rows are the provider’s internal IDs for outputs that could not be mapped to a standard address (bare multisig and similar). They are counted in the totals but cannot be looked up on any explorer.

A “≈” means the exact count would have taken too long and the number comes from the optimiser’s estimate. The dust ocean is the point: more than half of all addresses hold less than a thousandth of a bitcoin.
