Erline "Rock And Roll" Harris was one of several female vocalists who sang for the Johnson Brothers in New Orleans in the late 1940's. She made her first professional appearance in 1939 at the Club Plantation in St. Louis. She cut 12 records for the DeLuxe label, in 1949 and 1950, most of which she wrote herself, and she recorded two sides for Chess with John Peek's Orchestra in 1951.
